National Postdoc Appreciation Week 2018

From September 17 to 22, 2018, is the 9th National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW)

Join us on (and off) campus for a week of events to show appreciation to you, as a postdoc but also as a person, as well as your family. There will be social events, career-oriented events, free food and drinks, and even a cross-campus event to meet fellow postdocs from USC and UCLA!

Some of the events require sign-ups so please follow the links below: 

• Thursday 9/20, 9am-5pm: Professional Headshots at the Alumni House (345 S Hill ave): A professional photographer will be on site all day to take your picture for lab website, linkedin, etc. You get a handful of pictures for free, and even a free touched up pictures. Sign-up here for your preferred time (5-min slot)! As of 9/18 the event is full, please email ccharpen-at-caltech-dot-edu to be added to the waiting list and to be informed of possible additional slots.
• Thursday 9/20, 6-9pm: Tech Mixer 2018 at Dabney Gardens: Enjoy drinks and light bites as you network with Caltech postdocs & graduate students in engineering and physics, entrepreneurs & a range of professionals from companies based in the LA Area. Scientists from 11+ startups & established companies of LA area are already registered! See details and RSVP here.
• Saturday 9/22, 4-8pm: Cross-campus picnic at Los Angeles State Historic Park: Come interact with postdocs from UCLA and USC. Bring your own food, drinks (non-alcoholic) and snacks provided by the postdoc associations. For more information and to help organize transportation, please sign-up here.
